On September 27, Cho-Liang Lin opens the 34th season at Chamber Music International, performing with Min Xiao-Fen (pipa), Michael Shih (violin), Atar Arad (viola), and Sophie Shao (cello).
The concert features selections from classical European folk music as well the music of jazz legend Thelonius Monk, reinterpreted for pipa. The final portion of the concert will be the Dallas-Fort Worth premiere of Tan Dun’s “Ghost Opera.”
